Squid Masala

Squid is a popular food in many parts of the world. They are also known around the world by their Italian name 'Calamari' and its variants. In Indian states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, they are called Koonthal, Kanava or Kadamba.

Squid is largely a healthy food but it is better to limit the intake if you are suffering from increased blood pressure as it has a relatively high content of sodium. Also, care needs to be taken since like any other seafood some people are allergic to squid.
