I got this recipe from a friend of mine. I had tried it out for the first time in 2008. Well, it's your turn now:)
Preparatory time: 20 minutes
Cooking time : 30 minutes
Ingredients :
For the paste:
Garlic - 1 tbsp, chopped
Cumin seeds - 3/4 tbsp
Coriander seeds - 3/4 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Salt - to taste
For the main preparation:
Onions - 2, finely chopped
Tomatoes - 2, finely chopped
Water - 2 cups
Oil - 2 tbsp
Method :
For the paste:
1. Grind all the ingredients to a fine paste.
For the main preparation:
1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Saute onions till they turn light brown in colour.
2. Now add the meat and mix well.
3. Next, add the tomatoes and cook till they seem to be soft.
4. Now add the prepared paste and mix well.
5. Further, add water and cover the lid and cook on medium to high heat for 4 whistles and then simmer and cook for another 20 minutes.
6. Serve hot with roti or rice.
