Corn Cheese Balls

This is one of the quick evening snacks I prepare especially for my son and hubby :) It's yummy and nutritious and a relatively high calorie snack.

Preparation time : 10 minutes

Cooking time : 15- 20 minutes

Ingredients :

Sweet Corn - 1 cup [boiled]

Cheese - 2 cups, grated

Cornflour - 1 1/2 tbsp

Refined flour - 2 1/2 tbsp

Ginger paste - 1 tbsp

Green chili - 2 finely chopped

White pepper powder - 1/2 tsp

Baking soda - 1/4 tsp

Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp

Cumin powder - 1/4 tsp

Lemon juice - 2 tsp

Salt - to taste

Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp finely chopped

Method :

1. Blend the boiled corn for one churn, so that they get coarsely ground.

2. In a large bowl, put in the corn, grated cheese, cornflour, refined flour, ginger paste, red chili and pepper powders, green chili, baking soda, cumin powder, lemon juice, salt and coriander leaves. Mix well.

3. Oil your palms and make small lemon size balls.

4. In a kadai, heat oil, slowly put in the balls. Keep stirring the oil so that the balls do not stick. Cook on medium to low heat. Once they turn golden brown in colour remove and put them on an absorbent paper.  Repeat  till all the balls are done.

5. Place the corn balls on a serving tray. Serve hot with sauce of your choice.
