Who doesn't like cutlets?!! At home, we prepare fish, chicken and mutton cutlets frequently. So for a change, I thought of making some vegetarian cutlets. As a pleasant surprise, these corn cutlets came out really good!! They were yummy and quite filling!!
Here's my recipe:
Preparation time : 10 minutes
Cooking time : 30 minutes
Ingredients:
Sweet corn kernels :2 cups
Potato : 2 1/2 cups, boiled and mashed
Onions : 2 big, finely chopped
Green chillies : 2, minced
Ginger paste : 1 tbsp
Garlic paste : 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder : 1 1/2 tsp
Black pepper powder : 1 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder : 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil : 1 tbsp

Method :
1. Boil the sweet corns. When done, remove the kernels and keep it in a bowl.
2. Boil and mash the potatoes. Add it to the bowl of corn kernels.
3. In a pan, heat oil, add the onions and saute till they turn translucent. Add the ginger garlic paste, salt and stir constantly for 3-4 minutes.
4. Now add the garam masala powder, pepper powder and coriander powder. Mix well. Stir for 2-3 minutes.Take off from fire. When cool add it to the bowl containing the potato corn mix and mix well.
5. Make balls and place them in a tray. Then take them one by one, roll them in the bread crumbs and pat them to an oval shape and keep aside till all are done.
6. Heat a no stick tawa, when hot smear it with ghee and place them slowly one by one 4-5 at a time depending on the size of the tawa.
7. Turn them and smear them again with a little ghee. When golden on both sides, remove the and repeat the same process for the remaining balls.
8. Serve them in a serving tray along with sauce of their choice.
