Chocolate Muffins


This is one of my son's favorite snack item. The taste of chocolate is heavenly and it effortlessly melts in the mouth. It's a very easy recipe and also a must try one !!!!




Preparation time : 20 minutes
Cooking time : 13-15 minutes each set

Ingredients :

All purpose flour : 1 and 1/2 cup
Sugar : 3/4 cup
Cocoa powder : 5 tbsp
Salt : 1/4 tsp
Baking soda : 1 tsp
Water : 1 cup [ cold water]
Oil : 1/2 cup
Lemon juice : 1 1/2 tsp
Vanilla essence : 2- 3 tsp



Method :

1. Mix together vanilla essence, oil and water with a whipper.

2. Sieve together flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking soda 2-3 times so to get a well mixed flour mix.

3. Mix both the dry and the wet ingredients together. Add the sugar and keep mixing till the sugar is well mixed and dissolved.

4. Pre heat the oven to 190 degrees. Just before you pour it into the muffin moulds add the lime juice and mix well.

5. Fill the moulds only 3 quarters, otherwise the muffins when baked will over flow. Here i have used silicone moulds if not you have to grease and powder the moulds.

6. Bake for 13-15 minutes or till the inserted pin comes out clean. Mine got baked at 14 minutes.

7. Cool the moulds on the rack. Slowly remove themuffins from the moulds. Keep aside. Repeatit again till the prepared batter is over.

8. Close and keep in an air tight container.
