Indian Yoghurt and Potato Canape [Dahi Batata Puri]

Dahi puris are a favorite among children and adults. It's a snack item very popular in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is a dish of mashed potatoes served in crisp puris topped with sweet chutney and Yoghurt. It's easyto make and a healthy snack item.

Preparation time : 30 minutes

Ingredients :

Puris - 20

Yogurt - 1/2 cup

Boiled potatoes - 1/3 cup mashed

Chaat masala - to taste

Salt - to taste

For garnishing :

Sprouts - 1/3 cup

Tamarind date chutney - 1/2 cup

Roasted cumin powder - 2 tsp

Onions - 2, finely chopped

Red chilli powder - 1 tsp

Sev - 1/3 cup

Coriander leaves -  2 tbsp, finely chopped



Method :

1. Make holes in the center of the puris. Add salt and chaat masala to the yogurt.

2. Arrange the puris in a serving plate, fill in with the sprouts, mashed potato and tamarind date chutney. Top it with the yogurt mix.

3. Sprinkle red chilli  and roasted cumin powders and sev.

4. Garnish with finely chopped onions and coriander leaves. Serve immediately.
